Renesas Electronics First in Environmental Sensors to Support Public Building Air Quality Standards

 


【Lansheng Technology Information】Renesas Electronics, a global supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced the release of new firmware for its superior ZMOD digital air quality sensor. The new firmware enables engineers to configure the sensor to support various green air quality standards for commercial and public buildings, making it the first sensor in the industry to comply with multiple global air quality standards. As commercial HVAC systems move toward autonomous air quality monitoring, these systems can now monitor and detect hazardous gases in indoor spaces. Support for environmental standards increases the value of end products while reducing the amount of work manufacturers need to compete for government incentives.


Renesas brings support to commercial and public standards and other environmental standards with its ZMOD digital gas sensor. Both ZMOD4410 indoor air quality sensor and ZMOD4510 outdoor air quality sensor comply with relevant standards. ZMOD Sensors provides users with the ability to configure sensor firmware based on a cloud connection, which enables both new and existing ZMOD users to globally implement support for building standards, including HVAC systems, thermostats, smart appliances and smoke detection A wide range of products including controllers can also take advantage of this support.
