Diodes Incorporated launches 300mA output LDO with power good indication and automotive specifications to support battery power outage load point

 


【Lansheng Technology News】On September 28, 2023, Diodes expanded its product portfolio of low-dropout voltage regulators that meet automotive specifications and launched two product series. The AP7583AQ and AP7583Q series both feature 300mA maximum output current and 320mV dropout voltage, making these LDOs ideal for battery-connected automotive product applications. This product supports microelectronic hardware used in body control modules, in-vehicle network transceivers, electric vehicle battery management systems, exterior lighting infrastructure and instrument clusters.


Each AP7583AQ series device features a power good indicator output, which is an important differentiator for this product and enables continuous power supply monitoring, also provides fault reporting capabilities and aids in power switch sequencing.


Diodes' AP7583AQ and AP7583Q products are available in fixed output voltage versions (3.3V and 5V) and adjustable output versions, both supporting a wide input voltage from 3V to 42V. The combination of wide input voltage and low dropout allows these LDO products to support cold cranking and handle load dump conditions.


Ultra-low quiescent current is another key feature of the AP7583AQ and AP7583Q families. The products draw only 3µA at light loads, which allows them to provide optimized power supply for "always-on" components such as microcontroller units (MCUs) and CAN transceivers in standby systems.


All AP7583AQ and AP7583Q Series devices meet AEC-Q100 Grade 1 specifications, are manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities, and support PPAP documentation. Both LDO series are available in the 6-pin W-DFN2020 package. In addition, the AP7583AQ series is also available in 8-pin MSOP and 4-pin TO252 package formats.
