Renesas Electronics integrates Reality AI tools with e2 studio IDE to expand its preeminent position in AIoT

 


【Lansheng Technology News】Renesas Electronics, a global semiconductor solutions provider, recently announced that it has established an interface between its Reality AI Tools® and e2 studio integrated development environments, allowing designers to seamlessly share data, projects and software between the two programs. AI code module. The real-time data processing module has been integrated into the Renesas MCU software development tool kit to facilitate data collection from Renesas' own tool kit or customer hardware using Renesas MCUs. This integration will shorten the design cycle for IoT network edge and terminal artificial intelligence (AI) and micro machine learning (Tiny ML) applications.


Since Renesas acquired Reality AI in 2022, it has been committed to researching, improving and simplifying AI design. Reality AI Tools is a software environment built to support complete AI application product development, allowing users to automatically explore sensor data and generate optimization models. Currently, Renesas has opened a seamless data channel between Reality AI Tools and the e2 studio environment (used for programming Renesas MCUs). Sensor data collected from Renesas MCU development kits, as well as data visualized and annotated in e2 studio, can now be transferred to projects associated with Reality AI Tools with one click. In addition, users can now download and integrate AI/ML classifiers generated by Reality AI Tools in e2 studio.

In addition to data transmission, Renesas also enables cross-platform project awareness between embedded and AI environments. Users can now sync and transfer project lists in e2 studio from Reality AI Tools. They can also associate e2 studio projects with Reality AI Tools projects and create new Reality AI Tools projects in e2 studio.


Renesas has also worked internally with ecosystem partners to build a library of application cases and reference solutions; these cases provide proof-of-concepts or blueprints for specific applications. The Renesas AI Application Library currently has more than 30 reference solutions for applications such as real-time analytics, vision and speech.
