Diodes Introduces Space-Saving, High-Voltage, Dual-Output, Automotive-Compliant Hall Effect Sensor

 


【Lansheng Technology News】Diodes recently launched a new high-sensitivity Hall effect sensor product portfolio. The powerful AH39xxQ family of devices provides accurate speed and direction data or two independent outputs. Designed for industrial and automotive product applications, these sensors detect rotational and linear speed/direction and determine the angular position of a rotational axis.


The AH39xxQ of Diodes series of Hall effect sensors are automotive battery qualified and operate over a wide supply voltage range from 2.7V to 27V. They have a 40V absolute maximum rating and are capable of safely handling 40V load dump. In addition, the -18V reverse voltage protection function prevents incorrect battery connection. For enhanced robustness, these devices provide electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection that exceeds automotive specifications of 5kV Human Body Model (HBM) and 2kV Charged Device Model (CDM).


Three BOP/BRP typical value options are available, namely 10/-10 Gauss, 25/-25 Gauss and 75/-75 Gauss. The narrow operating window ensures accurate and reliable switching points. Dual-channel operation means these sensors can replace two latch switches, reducing PCB space and overall component cost. Because this device combines a chopper-stabilized amplifier with an advanced Hall plate design, switch point drift is mitigated, ensuring accurate measurements over a wide temperature range.


The AH397xQ's self-diagnostics feature is suitable for ISO 26262 compliant systems. If the device detects a fault such as overheating or undervoltage lockout, it will enter a safe operating mode for greater reliability.


Diodes AH39xxQ Series Hall Effect Sensors meet AEC-Q100 Grade 0 specifications, are manufactured in an IATF 16949 certified facility, and support PPAP documentation.
