Diodes Incorporated introduces dual-channel high-side switch to provide rugged protection for automotive applications
【Lansheng Technology News】On January 31, 2024, Diodes Incorporated further expanded its IntelliFET® self-protected MOSFET portfolio with the launch of the first automotive-qualified dual-channel high-side power switches—ZXMS82090S14PQ, ZXMS82120S14PQ and ZXMS82180S14PQ. These smart switches deliver high power in a compact size while providing durable protection and diagnostics. This series is designed to drive 12V automotive device loads such as LEDs, bulbs, actuators and motors in automotive body controls and lighting systems.
The three switch products feature 41V rated N-channel dual MOSFET arrays with on-board circuitry that provides short-circuit protection, handles inrush current and protects against overvoltage conditions such as load dump. In addition, these switches offer overtemperature protection with auto-restart, as well as electrostatic discharge protection. In addition, with some external components, it can also provide ground failure and reverse polarity protection.
A dedicated current sense pin accurately monitors the analog current output and provides fault indication for short to battery, short to ground, and open load detection.
These IntelliFET products provide efficient, reliable, smaller-sized alternatives to relays, fuses and discrete circuits. They also maintain the same form factor, applicability and functionality as existing power switching devices, providing customers with better product choices.
The ZXMS82090S14PQ, ZXMS82120S14PQ, and ZXMS82180S14PQ are AEC-Q100 qualified, manufactured in an IATF 16949 certified facility, and support PPAP files. The product is packaged in a highly thermally efficient SO-14EP package.
