Silicon Labs Helps Yeelight Rapidly Launch Its First Matter-enabled Human Presence Sensor
【Lansheng Technology Information】Silicon Labs, a leading manufacturer committed to building a more connected world with safe and intelligent wireless technology, and Yeelight have adopted Silicon Labs' MG24 2.4GHz wireless on-chip in their first Yeelight Pro P20 human presence sensor. system (SoC) to support the Matter 1.0 technical standard, thereby promoting the interoperability of smart home products across ecosystems, and providing a highly reliable, more secure and low-power wireless network experience. The Yeelight Pro P20 human presence sensor will be on display at the Yeelight booth #50326 at the Venice Expo Center in Las Vegas, USA during the 2023 International Consumer Electronics Show.
Yeelight Pro P20 human presence sensor is a precision sensor designed for the global market. In terms of sensing function, it realizes active and passive dual-mode detection mode, infrared judgment of human body and radar detection of micro-movement, and uses multiple algorithms for accurate judgment. The P20 sensor is battery powered and can last over 3 years in battery mode. Its magnetic base makes installation even easier. In order to meet the access requirements of more smart home ecosystems, Yeelight decided to adopt the latest IoT connection standard Matter to create a series of smart home products that can cross existing ecology and multiple protocols, thereby creating a unified smart home experience.
Dhiraj Sogani, senior director of wireless product marketing at Silicon Labs, said: "We are very pleased that Yeelight can quickly launch its Matter 1.0-enabled people using the MG24 wireless SoC in such a short period of time after the release of the Matter 1.0 standard. In sensor products. As the largest Matter program code contributor in the semiconductor field, Silicon Labs will further strengthen cooperation with ecological partners and launch more Matter-compliant and Matter-compliant products to help our customers break down connection barriers and achieve interconnection .We will support customers to develop innovative devices in more IoT edge areas, including smart home."
As an emerging standard in the smart home field, the release of Matter 1.0 will solve the fragmentation of communication standards in the smart home market, thus making the market full of infinite possibilities. Silicon Labs has been cooperating with global IoT device manufacturers including Yeelight to accelerate the development of high-performance system devices that meet the Matter standard for smart home ecosystem operators and end customers. While these devices will further unleash the potential of the Internet of Things, they will also benefit from the ultra-low power consumption of the MG24. The P20 sensor can be used for more than 3 years in battery mode, and can also support line power supply mode.
